This policy explains what information the yasmin app and the Yasmin Health website (yasmin.health) handle, and why. yasmin publishes health-education content. The yasmin app is the publishing tool the Yasmin Health team uses to upload its own videos to its own social media accounts, including TikTok.
1. Information the yasmin app receives from TikTok
When an account owner connects a TikTok account to yasmin through TikTok Login Kit, yasmin receives:
- Basic profile information: open ID, display name and avatar (scope
user.info.basic), used only to show which account is connected. - An access token and a refresh token issued by TikTok, used only to upload and publish videos that the account owner selects (Content Posting API).
- Creator settings returned by TikTok, such as the privacy levels available to the account, used only to offer valid posting options.
yasmin does not read the account's followers, messages, comments, or the videos of other users.
2. How this information is used
- To upload a video the account owner chose, with the caption and privacy level the account owner set, to that owner's TikTok account.
- To show the status of an upload (for example processing, published, or failed).
The information is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not sold or shared with third parties.
3. Where it is stored
TikTok tokens and profile information are stored on the computer where the yasmin app runs, under the control of the account owner. They are not published on this website.
4. Removing access and deleting data
- The account owner can disconnect a TikTok account inside the yasmin app at any time, which deletes the stored tokens.
- Access can also be revoked from the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Manage app permissions.
5. Information collected by the website
- An anonymous page-view counter. It records that a page was viewed and does not identify the visitor.
- If you create an account on the website, the email address and profile details you provide, used to sign you in and keep your preferences.
6. Children
The yasmin app is a publishing tool for the Yasmin Health team and is not directed at children.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
